Local HistoryAn interesting article form the Tonganoxie Mirror about an overgrown cemetery near Leavenworth and the efforts to record those interred there.

Many other such cemeteries exist and the names of those buried in them are at risk of being lost. However there are efforts underway to clean up and document some of these cemeteries.

Eudora Considers Purchasing Historic Home

Local HistoryDurr House in Eudora was build 109 years ago. The land on which the home stands was purchased by the Eudora school district for the construction of a new elementary school and the house must be moved from its current location.

The city of Eudora may purchase the home and turn it into a museum and the headquarters for the Chamber of Commerce. (From the Eudora News)
