Local NewsI missed this article earlier in the week in the Lawrence Journal World reporting that the planning commission approved the rezoning so a 15,000 Walgreens can be built on the southwest corner of Clinton Parkway and Crossgate. It passed on a 5-4 vote.

Local NewsThere are 3 constructions projects underway in Eudora. Church Street at K-10 is undergoing on overlay, the bridge on Church street is being upgraded, and there is also construction on Main St.

Local NewsAnother story from the Ottawa Herald. The city is seeking to aquire additional property in northeast Ottawa. Owners of the property in question have an agreement with the city to be paid appraised value plus 25%. In a hearing this week, appraisers were selected to set a value to the properties.

Local NewsCentral Heights School district is located South of Ottawa. Normally I focus on postive news, but this story seemed worthy of attention. Here is the article from the Ottawa Herald about the situation. The superintended was originally facing child abuse and other charges, but pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.
