Things To DoThis year's Leavenworth County Fair started Tuesday. A new event this year is the Mud Run on Friday evening which features trucks trying to run through a 150 foot pit of mud. Other activities include the rodeo on Wednesday and Thursday, and the demolition derby on Saturday evening.

Things To DoSeveral local B&B's are benefiting from the economy and fuel prices. I've enjoyed staying at one of B&B's mentioned in the article, the Halcyon house, and I've stayed at several others in the general KC area.

Much cheaper than a trip to Disney World.
