The Tonganoxie Mirror has a nice article about the what happened at the visitation and funeral of Ron Starcher. He was killed a few weeks ago in a motorcycle accident, and many, many people paid their respects.

C.R. Herpich is retiring from the Baldwin School District after 40 years as a teacher. He also coached track and cross country. The article is a nice tribute to someone who gave a lot to the community.

Last week Akeg Wol and her four childrent moved into a new apartment in Olathe. She is a native of Sudan, which she fled Sudan's escape civil war. She was helped by students in a program at MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Officers and others raised funds for Karlee Rockwell, who is undergoing chemotherapy, by getting bids to have their heads shaved. Shave the officers raised $2,100 for Karlee.
